America’s Oldest World War II veteran wants to keep living independently

Richard Overton is the oldest living World War II veteran. At 110 years old, he wishes to live his final days in the Texas home he built himself instead of going to a nursing home. He has raised $88,000.

We’re happy to report that Mr. Richard Overton, a WWII veteran, will be able to stay in his own home thanks to the generosity of appreciative Americans everywhere. At this time he’s raised nearly $145,000 of the $150,000 goal that was set at the start.
